It’s not all business around here. For two and a half years, Kristen was the lead singer of The Frustrations, a DC based band that played original music as well as covers. (It’s those covers that really pay the bills.) Despite releasing two EPs, recorded with punk rock legend Don Zientara at Arlington’s Inner Ear Studios (Fugazi, Bad Brains, Minor Threat), the band has not yet become a wildly successful international rock group. Before The Frustrations, Kristen was limited to a life of torturing her friends at Mr. Smith’s piano bar each year on her birthday with a karaoke rendition of “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant.”
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and the band decided to play its last gig in August 2009, but you can still enjoy the fun by catching their music video below.
